Educational Development

The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy provides an opportunity for us to enrich and enhance the education of young girls (ages 11-14).  Our primary goal is to prepare these girls for leadership by focusing on the cultivation and maintenance of relationships, scholarship in math, science, and technology, and by providing opportunities for public service.

The Dr. Jeanne L. Noble Delta GEMS Institute is an outgrowth and continuation of the Delta Academy program.  Through its goals, Delta GEMS provides the framework for high school girls to actualize the dreams the Delta Academy cultivated.  The program focus is to instill the need to excell academically, assist in goal setting and planning for the future, and to actively involve these young women in service learning and community service projects.
